Monarchs Game Day: March 22 at L.A. Galaxy II

Salt Lake City’s third-division soccer side Real Monarchs SLC will open its inaugural season on the road with a Sunday night kickoff at L.A. Galaxy II in Carson, Calif.

Well, it’s official. Real Monarchs SLC’s first match in USL play produced a draw in Carson, Calif., against L.A. Galaxy II. A fair result for both sides, though it came at the expense of several key saves from on-loan RSL reserve goalkeeper Lalo Fernandez. Phanuel Kavita was solid at central defense, and Bofo Saucedo had several nice touches.
